Also, since 2012, Malofeev was involved in the case of bribery of voters during the elections of deputies in the village of Znamenskoye, Ugransky district of the Smolensk region, in which he participated. In 2006, he established a private Orthodox Gymnasium for St. Basil the Great in the Moscow Region.

Since 2007 - founder and head of the board of trustees of the St. Basil the Great Foundation. In the same year he created the Russian Society of Philanthropists in Defense of Motherhood and Childhood.
The foundation's activities are related to the organization of pilgrimage trips and the transfer of relics. In the spring of 2014, the fund was engaged in the transportation of the "Gifts of the Magi". Igor Strelkov and Alexander Borodai (formerly employees of Malofeev's firms), under the auspices of the fund, escorted valuable cargo and took part in events on the Crimean peninsula and in southeastern Ukraine.
